Julie Hungiville LeMay was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Alaska’s Matanuska Valley where she has lived since 1978. She has taught poetry in mindfulness retreats, and at workshops at McLaughlin Youth Facility, North Star Residential Treatment Center, Salvation Army Clitheroe Inpatient Facility, and the University of Alaska, Mat-Su. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles where she served as poetry editor for Antioch’s journal, Lunch Ticket. Her work has been published online and in print journals including Potomac Review, Bluestem, Poetry Ireland Review, Magma Poetry, Passager, Pilgrimage, Split Rock Review, and Sugar Mule.
